Summary of Position
The Senior Analyst, Digital Insights will support the monitoring and reporting of social conversation and performance, helping translate digital data into clear, actionable insights for various departments across Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group. This role requires a highly detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong technical skills and solid proficiency in Excel to manage data, maintain accurate reporting, and lead budget tracking. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a passion and curiosity for how online conversation can impact everyday business decisions, and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
• Architect and maintain analytics platform setup, including the creation and management of data collection, dashboard building and alert management.
• Actively monitor and track all relevant social conversations for upcoming film releases.
• Analyze social performance metrics, conversation, and audience data. Package findings into insights reports, visualizations, presentations, and other written deliverables.
• Play an integral role in trailer reporting, collecting and packaging audience responses and reactions for real-time reporting.
• Collaborate with social analytics vendors to deliver timely social insights reports to the wider business.
• Validate data accuracy and proactively identify and address data quality issues.
• Work cross-functionally with other analysts and researchers across Lionsgate, combining insights from diverse data sources and methodologies to provide a comprehensive assessment of film and content performance.
• Oversee financial management for Digital Insights Team, including budget tracking, purchase order management and vendor administration.
Qualifications and Skills
• 2 years of direct experience in social listening and social media monitoring
• Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced social listening tool user (Talkwalker, Meltwater, ListenFirst, Brandwatch, Netbase, Sprinklr, etc.)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding and interest in the evolving landscape of social media
• Knowledge of Boolean logic and query writing
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights and tell a data-driven story in the form of presentations and other written deliverables
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for movies and the film industry
