Summary of Position
The Coordinator, Production & Development will support the Executive Vice President, Production and Development for the Motion Picture group. This position requires a talented individual who will handle a variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations in production and development area.
Responsibilities
• Answering and rolling calls, manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and facilitate communication for production and development executives.
• Take notes on all meetings and calls
• Process expense reports, vendor invoices, purchase orders, and other departmental paperwork.
• Track submissions, maintain project logs, and update the development slate.
• Track competitive development at other studios and production companies
• Track emerging material by spotting high-potential projects, monitor upcoming books, and matching directors or actors with scripts that fit their next move
• Conduct research on talent, competitive studios and production companies, market trends, and industry data.
• Maintains database that tracks the status of all projects in development, including writer, director and cast lists.
• Contribute strategic and creative insights to new or prospective projects as needed.
• Assist with preparing creative documents such as pitch decks or presentations using Excel, Monday.com and Power Point
• Build and maintain strong relationships with creative executives, producers, and other stakeholders.
• Support special projects, events, and company initiatives as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
• Previous experience as an assistant preferred
• Experience with executive level calendar management and travel coordination
• A demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Working knowledge of the film industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
