Summary of Position:
The Business Analyst / System Administrator will provide hands on administration and daily end-user support of Lionsgate's various standard business and custom applications. He/She should possess a well-rounded set of both business and technical skills and be able to collaborate with a wide range of end-users. He/She will be a motivated self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team. He/she will be able to communicate effectively with business end users to guide requirements definition and testing efforts as well as to maintain a strong collaborative relationship. He/she will learn, and where needed document, Lionsgate's business processes, facilitate the identification of process improvement opportunities, and help determine associated functional requirements. He/she will excel in a team environment, and will be dedicated to expanding his/her knowledge base as well as to sharing that knowledge with others. The ability to multitask and coordinate work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is imperative.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Day to day end-user support and administration of business applications
• Working with the Lionsgate end-user community and other IT team members to define business issues and solutions
• Thoroughly documenting business requirements and translating into functional requirements. Designing, configuring, testing and implementing solutions based on these requirements
• Assisting with development of new business applications in Salesforce and/or .NET
• Evaluating new functionality delivered by software vendors
• Conducting testing of support packs and upgrades
• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of project and production support documentation
• Reporting to management regarding project and production support status
• Support and adhere to application change management policies and procedures
• Conducting end-user training and on-going support
Qualifications/Requirements:
• At least 3 years of business application support and hands-on configuration/administration experience
• Willingness to learn new and changing business software technologies
• Ability to grasp a wide range of business processes
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and systems design skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Experience following a structured project life cycle methodology
• Experience with database and .NET framework
• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering preferred but not required
• Experience with Document Management systems, SharePoint, and Salesforce a plus.
• C# or Visual Basic.NET programming
• Database programming skills (MSSQL or MySQL)
• Entertainment industry experience
