Audio Engineer - Internet Web Series
Limbus Company EN Dub
Toronto, ONThis is a Part Time Job
Hey there! We're a small indie team looking for more audio engineers to help with our production pipeline!
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Cleaning up raw recordings (about 5-10 minutes of audio per week) using iZotope RX or similar
• Mixing 13+ different voice tracks together, plus adding in music and sound effects (These tracks are all pre-assembled and ready to edit)
• Making adjustments based on both your supervisor's feedback, and the director's feedback.
• Mastering those mixes so they're polished and ready to go
• Being around on Discord with the team to coordinate and chat
• Using Reaper.fm and Git forks to keep projects organized and moving smoothly
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Even though the audio minutes are short in duration, the mixes are layered and somewhat complex
• Deadlines are flexible, but we'll need someone reliable who can communicate and deliver consistent quality!
• This is a long-term project; there will be cycles where there's lots happening, and other times where there's little to no work for your role
• We're all remote, but it's best if you're in or near an EST/EDT timezone
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Must be comfortable working in Reaper.fm
• Have some knowledge on how to use Git forks
• Have their own plugin library to draw from
• Able to clean audio, mix multiple voices, and master final tracks
• Are able to share some samples of past work so we can hear your style
• Some prior experience in audio post-production is desired, but formal education is not required.
Salary/Benefits
This is a volunteer position; unfortunately unpaid.
Perks
• Hands-on experience with mixing big, multi-track voice projects
• 100% remote and flexible deadlines
• Be part of a friendly and passionate indie team working together to make something they love
Additional Information
We are a dedicated team working on a fan passion project to dub over the game "Limbus Company," developed by the indie studio Project Moon. This initiative is not for profit, and any costs incurred are covered by our team. Our goal is to create videos that provide voice dubbing for footage of the visual novel gameplay, utilizing only in-game assets such as background music and a few sound effects, while ensuring that all other content is original or licensed, without the use of AI. The project is managed by Cerys, who oversees the creative vision and handles correspondence and social media, alongside co-director and voice director Theta, who manages voice actors and audio pacing. Our lead audio engineer, Seth Villamil, also known as VitaminZeth, contributes significantly to the audio quality, supported by staff member Scousemouse12, who assists with onboarding new voice actors and coordinating meetings.
