LSTW Assistant Videographer Position (contract work):
Position Summary
Operates video cameras and related equipment in the production and editing of video programs, marketing and educational content for internal and external use. Assistant Videographer will be working under the supervision of the Lead Media Producer on different tasks. Most importantly, assistant videographer must be able to produce and edit remotely and create amazing videos.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage full production from inception to completion
Operates video cameras such as the Canon DSLR series, C100, C300 cameras on location or in a studio setting.
Support talent and give direction on site.
Coordinate with department heads on conception and execution of productions.
Transports, sets up, and operates production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions.
Edit video content using Final Cut X and utilize sub-software systems such as Photoshop, Motion, After Effects for video graphic design.
Assists upkeep and maintenance of studio and production equipment.
Follows camera, lighting plots and SOPs to ensure look and feel of videos.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience requirement.
Must submit a 5 minute trailer film reel which includes all work filmed, edited and produced. *The reel must not be longer than 5 minutes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot audio and video equipment.
Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
Ability to configure, operate and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting and associated production equipment.
Ability to be creative and innovative with design, concepts and graphics to support the vision of the production.
Efficient in using Final Cut X and knowledge in using Compressor, Photoshop, Motion, After Effects and post-production procedures, techniques and standards.
Must be able to work remotely with minimal supervision.
Conditions of Employment:
Possession of a valid California driver's license is a requirement for this job.
Must reside in Southern California preferably near Laguna Niguel, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Huntington Beach or surrounding cities.
This is a contract, on call position with opportunity for growth.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Be able to perform aesthetics on video production and editing that will create long lasting amazing videos.
Compensation:
$20 per hour
