The Position:
Royalty Manager is a full-time position that will handle a variety of day-to-day royalty projects and will be responsible for overseeing the collection and distribution of the royalties for our clients. Our clients include artists, producers, record labels, and publishing companies.
Responsibilities include:
• Monitor royalty streams to ensure royalties are effectively being paid to the appropriate recipient on all material
• Process, streamline, and distribute all royalty income that flows through client's accounts
• Run analyses on current/previous royalty streams to determine accuracy of accounting
• Forecast projected royalties based on various contract terms and historical performance
• Draft/subsequent accounting to third party royalty participants (producers, ex-band members, outside writers, etc.)
• Provide support and supplemental information to the rest of the client's team (management, legal, other partners)
Required skills:
• Ability to work independently with a team attitude
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven competency of working with large amounts of data
• Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines
• Working knowledge of music publishing
Special skills/preferences:
Experience with QuickBooks
Proficient in Word and Outlook, high skill level in Excel
Qualifications:
Work experience in related field, minimum two (2) years
