Position Title: Senior Treasury Specialist

Legendary Entertainment is actively seeking a Senior Treasury Specialist to join its corporate finance team. The Senior Treasury Specialist will be responsible for managing FX requirements and risk mitigation for productions, overseeing cash transactions (wires / ACH) and total company liquidity. In addition, this role will be managing and reporting on cash account activity, preparing and delivering the annual operating expense budget, executing and tracking account openings and closings for production and corporate-level bank accounts, managing the custody and investment of funds across multiple corporate bank accounts, liaising and maintaining relationships with Legendary’s banking partners, and assisting in the preparation of monthly credit reporting for Legendary’s revolving credit facility. The position will report to the VP, Corporate Finance & Development. Due to the lean existing team, the role offers a unique opportunity to have a large impact on defining the Company’s FX and cash management processes, treasury policies, banking operations, and financial risk management techniques.

Treasury Responsibilities
• Oversee opening, maintaining, and tracking of bank accounts and signatories, including administering online banking systems, executing user and entitlement audits, and ensuring proper dual controls are in place to prevent fraud
• Coordinate with film and TV production finance teams to understand foreign exchange needs and then coordinate with banking partners to hedge foreign exchange risk, recording all FX transactions
• Assist in executing and recommending strategies for window forwards, spot trades, and other FX products to mitigate FX risk on Legendary film and television productions
• Ensure accurate and timely wire transfers of payments and maintain appropriate documentation and support
• Assist operating groups and the corporate team with all cash management controls and treasury and banking-related issues, including bank account management, foreign exchange exposure, bank compliance/KYC requirements, and audit requests
• Recommend and implement projects that streamline processes and procedures across the organization, coordinating with banking partners, corporate finance, production finance, accounting, and legal
• Develop and execute investment strategies to ensure efficient use of cash
• Work with the corporate finance team to monitor cash and ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs by tracking and projecting the daily cash position
• Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of each country
• Maintain a forward-looking tracker of all hedged and unhedged FX exposure
• Calculate monthly interest expenses and coordinate with each relevant bank to ensure accuracy

FP&A Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management dashboard of all company business activity
• Prepare and deliver an annual operating expense budget to Legendary’s management team
• Track all revenue across all films on a quarterly basis
• Assist in the preparation of monthly credit documents that are delivered to Legendary’s banking group
• Determine whether the company needs to borrow or paydown debt to optimally fund operations

Accounting Responsibilities
• Prepare FX tracker for accounting quarterly close process
• Prepare SG&A overview & rationale for items under budget/over budget for quarterly Accounting close process

Experience & Skills:
• Be proactive, over-communicate, and question processes in place to improve them
• Collaborate with the Corporate Finance team, Accounting team, and CFO
• Immense attention to detail and the ability to synthesize information quickly and accurately Accuracy is absolutely paramount to this role
• Possess robust analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrate an understanding of treasury, cash management, and accounting principles, as well as a strong knowledge of bank products and services
• Have a flexible, resourceful, can-do attitude
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects and results
• Ability to give and receive feedback. Respond to requests in a timely fashion

Qualifications:

• CTP Preferred
• B.S. in finance, accounting, economics, business, or have demonstrated interest in business & entertainment
• 3 years of related treasury and finance and /or accounting experience

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $65,000 to $80,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. Total rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, market demands and indicators, specific and unique skills or training, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City and California.
