Summary of Position:

Legendary is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join the team. The HR Manager will provide human resources leadership and generalist support. This role will work across all levels of the organization, providing an informed, professional and efficient service on all aspects of HR management and strategy, as determined by HR leadership. The ideal candidate would have experience in program and project management, recruitment, engagement and events, benefits, compensation, and communications.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain effective relationships and develop a strong knowledge of the organization’s structure, roles, goals, and challenges to serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff
• Analyze current HR practices, identify improvement opportunities, influence management, build consensus and implement change to achieve department vision and goals
• Oversee and manage full-cycle recruitment process that includes sourcing, screening, reference checking, extending offers and all pre-hire requirements. Implement and integrate ways to streamline the recruitment process for full-time and internship/AMP program
• Track consultants, temporary employees, and liaise with temp agencies to support the business groups and ensure proper coverage of roles/support
• Oversee the Internship & AMP Program by enhancing the cohort experience, maintaining and building relationships with key top tier universities, partnering with hiring managers to provide support and build a pipeline for high potential new hires
• Provide guidance on a broad spectrum of issues and opportunities, including resolution of employee relations issues. Clarify, interpret and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
• Manage onboarding/exit process, staff changes (conversions, promotions, etc.). Oversee and refine 30/60/90-day check-in process with new hires and their respective supervisors
• Manage and support Employee Engagement events and initiatives (including but not limited to Impact Day, Volunteer programs, Employee Screenings, Holiday Celebrations, including Holiday Party)
• Build health and wellness initiatives and create opportunities for employees to engage (including but not limited to wellness week, personal trainer/fitness management, educational lunch & learns, sports teams, and health clinics)
• Ad hoc projects as assigned

Experience & Skills
• Five (5) years or more experience in Human Resources, entertainment industry experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or closely related field required. Certification and/or master’s degree in HR a plus
• Excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, relationship building, problem solving, and influence skills
• A “hands-on” Manager with a sincere interest in people, process, and contributing to a true service organization
• Exceptionally strong organizational development and employee relations skills with experience in coaching and mentoring at all levels of an organization
• Demonstrated ability to balance employee advocacy with business objectives
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrated understanding of state, federal and local employment laws
• Action oriented and eager to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
