Summary of Position:
Legendary is looking for an intern to assist the Corporate Business Development team. This internship will give you firsthand experience in evaluating new business opportunities, joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions for the company. In addition to working closely with the executives and members of the team, interns will have the opportunity to attend guest speaker sessions, networking events and screenings. This is a paid, in-person internship.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the EVP, Operations & Corporate Development on strategic projects
• Perform research and analysis to address current competitive and financial markets, as well as potential new business concepts/models
• Develop detailed financial models for potential transactions, performing due diligence, preparing presentations for senior management, and coordinating with senior executives to support and execute transactions
• Participate in special projects to gain additional exposure outside of immediate department
Experience & Skills:
• Must be enrolled in a Masters/MBA program at a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Summer) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• An understanding of financial principles/techniques of financial analysis
• Basic understanding of accounting rules and financial statements
• Ability to draw well-integrated conclusions from insights and analyses
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
