Position Title: Intern, Nerdist Editorial - Fall 2026
Location: Burbank, CA
Reporting to: Editor in Chief

Program Dates: September 14, 2026 - November 20, 2026
Summary
Legendary is currently seeking an intern to assist its fast-paced Nerdist Editorial department. At Nerdist Editorial, we oversee the daily operations and long-term editorial strategy of Nerdist.com. Since 2012, Nerdist has been an oasis in the digital desert, a beacon of positivity amidst a sea of cynicism, and a welcoming space to geek out about the many things that we love. With a community of millions of passionate people from all over the world, Nerdist comes together to celebrate our shared love of pop culture. We seek to create honest, thought-provoking discourse that is critical without being cruel, specific without being pedantic, and most importantly fun.
Responsibilities
• Work with the Nerdist editorial team and staff writers to craft well-sourced and informative pieces about breaking news in the entertainment world.
• Work with the Nerdist editorial and writing team to create feature pieces that aim to educate, entertain, or give perspective to our readers on topics of interest.
• Work with the Nerdist editorial and writing team to generate evergreen articles and lists about different areas relevant to Nerdist coverage.
• Help to keep an eye on breaking news and ensure coverage is in the works. Become familiar with the Nerdist voice and pitch article suggestions where relevant.
• Assist in image sourcing, social copy drafting, article formatting, and other standard tasks for online publishing.
Requirements
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Fall/Spring) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months
• A GPA of 3.5 or above is highly preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using PowerPoint, Excel, and general Microsoft Office applications.
