Summary
Legendary is seeking an experienced Post Production Coordinator to support the Head of Post Production and the Features Post Production team. In concert with our Post Production Manager, the Post Coordinator serves as a primary post production contact across pre-production, production and post production to ensure our movies are supported.
This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, and able to exercise good judgment and communication.
Responsibilities
• Onboard freelance Post Production crews.
• PIX Dailies and Cuts administration and support.
• Create Post Schedules and Post Contact lists.
• Distribution of technical documents and guidelines to post teams.
• Manage departmental/project calendars and documents.
• Coordinate internal/external screenings and creation/transfer of necessary assets.
• Work with executives and filmmakers to schedule Dailies Workflow calls, Post meetings, Director’s Cut screenings, DI Reviews, Final Mix Playbacks, Audience Recruit screenings, etc.
• Setup/attend DCP QC sessions for screenings and archival as needed.
• Work with Venders setting up Avids and equipment.
• Interface with Post Supervisors and Editorial crews.
• Contact Agencies and create availability lists for Editors and Post Production crews.
• Set up Editorial offices and security walk throughs.
• Coordinate meetings, lunches and manage department schedule.
• Create purchase orders, track invoices and attend cost report meetings.
• Organize files in Box, create and update checklists.
• Book and set up ADR sessions.
• Assist with show deliveries to Studios and China Legendary East.
• Keep track of Editorial wrap with assets and paperwork.
• Coordinate travel, accommodations and work visas for crew and department.
• Coordinate secure shipments of media.
• Code receipts for Department credit card.
• Manage interns, delegating workload and support.
• Schedule Covid Testing for crew and Post department.
Experience & Skills
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years hands on experience in feature film or television post production
• A passion for film, feature film experience a plus
• Understanding of media file types and film deliverables
• Team player who operates in a fast-paced setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask
• Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly
• Experience with booking travel, work visas, setting up accommodations
• Knowledge in Outlook, PIX, Aspera, Excel, Adobe Suite, Box, Busy Cal, Airtable
• Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current production process
• Experience with DPO system, Nexonia Credit Card Charges, Avid X, Purchase Orders
• Interfacing with Venders, Filmmakers and Executives
• Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs
• Willingness to work some overtime around the needs of the business

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $52,000 to $60,000 plus applicable overtime pay. Though not guaranteed, this position will have a reasonable expectation of overtime based on the needs of the department. This range (amount) does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. Total rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, market demands and indicators, specific and unique skills or training, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The hiring salary range (amount) for this position applies to New York City and California.
