LAUGH OUT LOUD, the multi-platform comedy brand and media company founded by Kevin Hart, is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team of innovative and creative thinkers working to get the world laughing together. Dope Comedy. Delivered Daily. Always On. Always Loud.
We are looking for a driven and creative self-starter who learns fast, works smart, and has high understanding of the social media landscape. This person is responsible for developing social-first content-graphics, video, audio, live-and community management across our social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, and YouTube, while retaining brand integrity and voice. The right candidate is extremely well-versed in social + platform strategy + best practices as well as in creative concepting + social series. S/he is a person who can blend big ideas with excellent execution, and is dedicated to developing fresh, exciting, premium, and creative social content. This role reports to the Director, Social Media and will eventually be based out of our Los Angeles office.
RESPONSIBLILITIES INCLUDE
Content Curation + Creation:
-Write, schedule, and optimize daily content across multiple social platforms-including, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok-working with social team to expand and refine social strategies as needed
-Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute creative programming for LOL social channels
-Bring new, innovative ideas to the table and push the brand's boundaries on social platforms
-Work closely with the production, design, and marketing teams to develop and execute social-focused initiatives
-Work with the social team to develop and maintain a social media content calendar that includes LOL content, tentpole activations, branded campaigns, and beyond
-Mine the web for interesting, sharable stories to distribute across LOL social media channels, primarily on Facebook, and find new opportunities for LOL by keeping a pulse on the industry
Content Marketing:
-Work with production, sales, and creative departments to ensure that social strategy is baked into every part of the production process, and secure exclusive content for social channels including behind-the-scenes photos, videos, on-site coverage from live events, and tentpole activations
-Work with the social and marketing teams to develop and maintain social marketing strategy for original content
-Work with the marketing, sales, and creative teams to develop content strategies for branded work
-Constantly be thinking of new ways to drive audiences back to the content through all social channels
Community Engagement:
-Find and maintain relationships with content partners and social platform managers to develop syndication and partnership opportunities
-Foster social content partnerships with like-minded brands
-Engage with audience by seeding discussion amongst the audience, responding to comments and messages across all social platforms, notice reoccurring themes or issues, troubleshoot, and know when to loop supervisors into the conversation
-Keep an active eye on the LOL community noticing the most active and/or notable followers, and engage them as unofficial brand ambassadors
Data Analysis:
-Monitor analytics across each platform, and provide weekly strategic insights to marketing leadership
-Work with the social and data teams to provide monthly reports to the executive team measuring the effectiveness and impact of social media programs and initiatives as well as detailing insights, KPIs, competitive reviews, and strategy + methodology
-Test new strategies, content, and campaigns, drawing actionable insights from the data
-Monitor audience growth across social media platforms
Other:
-Monitor trends, applications, tools, etc and make recommendations on new products, services,
and platforms for LOL
-Be able to prioritize internal projects and requests, and assess where each project fits within the
overall strategy
-Build marketing, social, and brand campaign wrap out reports
-Other projects as assigned
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
-3-5 years of relevant experience managing social media (content, photo, and video) for a large brand, content company, or media publisher
-Good editorial judgment, writing skills, and ability to capture LOL's voice to reach new and established audiences
-Proven experience hitting key social metrics, and a strong knowledge of social analytics tools, social scheduling, and experience with data insights is a must
-Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Premiere is a plus!
-Knowledge of, and a passion for, the digital media and content industries and their key players
-Ability to work independently, quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline- and results- driven environment
-Confident, collaborative, and communicative with an ability to keep calm under pressure
-Must have a strong sense of humor, high level of accountability, and interest in comedy + pop culture
-Multicultural marketing and/or content experience, strongly preferred
