Freelance Job
Director of Photography needed for a narrative short filming in the Los Angeles-area. The story is set in 1963, shot in one interior.
The director's previous feature film was a New York Film Critics Series Pick by Peter Travers (Rolling Stone) and he was subsequently chosen for Ryan Murphy Television's Half Initiative Director Mentorship Program for diverse filmmakers in Film/TV. The director is an alum of NYU's Tisch.
Looking for a collaborative and resourceful DP who has experience or is comfortable working with a small skeleton crew (both for on-set COVID safety as well as shoot efficiency), in addition to having a compelling visual perspective and isn't afraid to utilize shadows. A DP with camera/gear is a plus but not a requirement (this would up the rate to accommodate).
Production Specifics: One day night shoot (likely a Saturday), however, production is willing to adjust for the right candidate. We're looking forward to a successful and safe shoot in a collaborative, ego-free environment.
