Business & Legal Affairs Lawyer/Executive

Lakeshore Entertainment is a leading independent motion picture production, distribution and international sales company, looking for a Business & Legal Affairs Lawyer/Executive to join our team.
Responsibilities Include:
• Negotiating rights, writer, director, actor, producer deals for film, TV and digital
• Drafting and negotiating contracts for talent and key crew
• Drafting/reviewing production contracts (location, clearance, product placement, music, clips) and vendor agreements
• Chain of title preparation and analysis
• Overseeing production legal matters, including providing legal counsel to production executives
• Monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and guild requirements
• Coordinating legal/document delivery of films to distributors.
Candidate requirements:
• At least 4-6 years' experience in Film and/or Television Business & Legal Affairs in the entertainment industry and/or entertainment law firm experience
• A J.D. from an A.B.A. accredited University with strong academic credentials and admission to the California Bar
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter, problem-solver and multi-tasking capability
• Ability to work independently as well as part of team
