Position Summary
Responsible for facilitating the overall look and presentation of news productions. Serves as the primary point of communication for all technical and staging requirements between producers and the production crew. Collaborates closely with producers to execute all production elements and ensures smooth, accurate execution of live broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate the overall look and presentation of daily newscasts and original productions
* Interface and communicate all technical and staging requirements between producers and production crew
* Collaborate with producers on production elements including:
* Music
* Graphics
* Lighting
* Camera blocking
* Guest interactions
* Set furnishings and related presentation elements
* Communicate all necessary instructions to the production crew before and during live newscasts
* Call direct daily newscasts and original productions, including:
* Post-sports shows
* Special events
* Webcasts
* Creative services productions (as needed)
* Utilize Ross Overdrive APC, switchers, and routers while calling live shows
* Generate daily Production Reports documenting technical and operational notes
* Follow up on and reconcile technical and operational issues related to daily production
* Operate robotic cameras, audio board, and floor direct as required
* Assist in maintaining studio cleanliness and organization
* Perform other assigned duties as needed

Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Television Production, or equivalent related experience
* Five or more years of professional experience in television production and directing
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Proven leadership ability with experience motivating and directing production crews
* Excellent judgment and timely decision-making in a fast-paced, live news environment
* Strong foundational knowledge of video and audio production equipment
* Experience calling direct using Ross Overdrive or equivalent automated production systems
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
* Working knowledge of:
* NRCS
* Video servers
* Graphics playout systems
* Video routers and switchers
* ENG-style cameras
* Robotic cameras
* Wireless lav microphones
* Audio boards
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
* Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and pressure
* Strong team collaboration skills
* Demonstrated creativity and innovative thinking
* Must be willing to perform additional duties as assigned
Salary/Benefits
$22.00 /hour USD
Starting pay depends on experience and skill level
