KSTU Fox 13 Television has an immediate opening for a full-time, fun, hardworking News Promotion Producer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS; Research, conceptualize, write, shoot and edit topical news promotions that will effectively attract news viewers to our Fox 13 daily newscasts, including our highly rated morning news, Good Day Utah.
Particularly focus on creating social media clips and promotions in a variety of styles for Fox 13 newscasts. Shoot and post behind the scenes video specifically aimed at social media that’s designed to attract Facebook friends, Twitter followers and Instagram users to our on-air news product.
Cutting through the clutter of social media is a constant challenge and we are looking for a fun charismatic producer who is up to the daily task.
Effectively coordinate with graphic artists, news management, news talent and other staff members as needed to complete projects.
Applicant should be familiar operating video cameras, and editing on platforms such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. After Effects is a plus.
Work closely with the Executive Producer of our morning show in answering phones, booking guest and coordinating show segments.
Professionally represent KSTU by creating and maintaining a pleasant, friendly work environment.
Research and recommend equipment purchases and enhancements as assigned.
Serve as a station archivist to maintain a library of categorized video and audio elements for use in promotion.
