Manager, Theatrical Distribution & Marketing

Leading US independent film distributor seeks versatile, experienced individual for sales and marketing of art house films to leading theatres, colleges, museums etc.

Responsibilities include:
--Booking of art house films in leading theatres, colleges, museums etc.
--Co-ordination of DCP, Blu-Ray/DVD disc, HD Master and film print creation with various post production facilities
--Managing distribution of exhibition and marketing materials, including trailers, posters, eblasts etc.
--Screening and evaluating of potential specialty film acquisitions
--Attending film festivals in a sales and acquisitions capacity
--Development of audience outreach initiatives
--Working collaboratively with distribution and marketing team to develop budgets, distribution and marketing stragtegies

Requirements

--Minimum of two years in theatrical distribution/marketing/exhibition
--Knowledge of the independent theatrical exhibition and festival scene...familiarity with key players...
--Strong written and verbal communication skills
--Knowledge of and interest in world cinema, indie art house films, feature documentaries
--Understanding of distribution/exhibition business terms and how theatrical sales and bookings are managed
--Facility with financial matters
--Strong written and verbal communication skills
--Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and prepare promotional and marketing materials
--Negotiating skills
--Technical knowledge of materials and their preparation for theatrical distribution and marketing: DCP's, HD masters, Poster creation, one sheets, eblasts, etc.
--Familiarity with all HD (and SD) digital formats, frame rates, and file types
--Proficiency with digital editing; trailer cutting experience a plus
--Film production knowledge/experience a plus
