Job: Production Manager
Reports to: Head of Programming
Location: Remote (ideally based in Los Angeles, but open to the right candidate)
The production manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Kin's physical production are executed efficiently, on time, and within the allotted budget. This role requires extreme attention to detail, proficiency in organization, strict adherence to deadlines and the greatest level of proactivity.
This is a freelance position with a weekly rate of $1500-2000 based on experience. Potentially through the end of 2023.
What You'll Do:
Pre-Production
Meet with the producer to examine show outlines and ideas
Building budgets for each show
Creating a shooting schedule and estimating cost
Hiring crews and negotiating rates of pay
Negotiating costs and approving the booking of resources, equipment and suppliers
Overseeing location bookings and arranging any necessary permissions and risk assessments
Making sure that the production runs to schedule, and reporting to the producer on progress
Acquiring appearance releases, insurance COIs, and permits ahead of shooting
Managing covid testing and questionnaires
Over communicating about progress and potential risks involved to entire Kin team
Project managing and executing on all aspects of production
Ensuring the entire team is prepped and ready for shoots
Production
Build and send call sheets for shoot days
Managing the set during shoot days - including enforcing covid protocols, ''quiet on set,'' and making sure everyone is on task
Coordinating travel for cast and crew as needed
Managing the production schedule and budget during and after each shoot day
Working with Finance team to approve costs before making payments
Tracking and managing budget versus actuals with Finance team
Acting as primary point of contact and problem solver for any issues before, during or after the production
Making sure that health and safety rules are followed - including Covid compliance
Gathering start paperwork and timecards to deliver to Finance team for processing
Wrapping each shoot and each show when production ends
Creating and maintaining digital wrap binders
Acting as an extra set of eyes on set for clearance or potential post production issues
Who You Are:

What You Have:
3+ years of experience as a production manager; preferably with digital production experience
Experience managing multiple projects at the same time
A track record of results driven by your unwavering ability to stay organized and manage multiple moving parts on a day to day basis
