Part Time Unpaid Internship
Killer Films is currently accepting applicants for our Fall 2020 internship. We are looking for self-motivated, good-hearted interns, hard-working problem solvers, and team players with great attitudes. Willingness, smarts, and attention to detail are critical. If you want to prove your stripes, this is your chance.
With access to the gritty underbelly of independent producing, you'll be part of a small, yet extremely busy operation. We have projects in every stage of production that require our (and your) care. Opportunities/responsibilities include reading scripts, writing coverage, tracking research, doing errands and general administrative tasks… something new comes up every day. Above all, we offer first-hand exposure to the daily mechanics of running a production company at the forefront of American independent film and television.
Interns must make a 2 to 5 day / week commitment (start date is flexible). Please note the Killer internship is unpaid, but we offer support for students to receive academic credit.
Created in 1995 by Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler, Killer Films has established itself at the forefront of American independent cinema. Over the past decade and a half, the two have produced some of the most celebrated American indie features including CAROL (nominated for six Academy Awards), FAR FROM HEAVEN (nominated for four Academy Awards), STILL ALICE (Academy Award winner), BOYS DON'T CRY (Academy Award winner), ONE HOUR PHOTO, KIDS, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, HAPPINESS, VELVET GOLDMINE, SAFE, I SHOT ANDY WARHOL, CAMP, SWOON and I'M NOT THERE (Academy Award nominated). In television, Killer Films recently executive-produced the Emmy and Golden Globe winning miniseries MILDRED PIERCE for HBO. Other recent work includes: KILL YOUR DARLINGS, GOAT, and WEINER DOG. Additionally, we released WONDERSTRUCK in October 2017, directed by Todd Haynes from the bestselling book by Brian Selznick. Killer recently launched the scripted bio-series about the iconic Zelda Fitzgerald for Amazon Studios Z: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING starring Christina Ricci, with whom Killer Films developed and produced the series.
