CREATIVE A&R + MUSIC LICENSING PARTNER

KeyMedia Group is looking for a connected, creative, and entrepreneurial Creative A&R + Music Licensing professional to help expand the reach of our music across radio, television, film, advertising, streaming, and brand opportunities.
This is an opportunity for someone who already knows how the music business works-and, more importantly, knows people.
We are looking for a self-starter who hears a great song and immediately starts thinking: Who needs to hear this? Where could this song live? Who could use it? Who should I call?
THE ROLE
You will work directly with the label to identify and pursue opportunities for our catalog.
Your focus will include:
RADIO
• Pitch new releases to radio programmers, DJs, specialty shows, and international radio.
• Reporting stations: stations that report their playlists/airplay to a chart or monitoring service.
• Develop relationships with radio contacts and identify the right opportunities for individual tracks.
• Help create targeted radio campaigns around key releases.
• Open doors to interviews, specialty programming, playlists, and other radio exposure.
TV + FILM + MASTER SYNC
• Pitch music for television, film, streaming, advertising, trailers, promos, documentaries, and branded content.
• Develop relationships with music supervisors, production companies, advertising agencies, sync companies, and creative agencies.
• Respond to sync briefs and proactively pitch music based on upcoming projects.
• Identify opportunities for both existing catalog and new releases.
• Work with the label to facilitate master licensing opportunities.
CREATIVE A&R
• Identify songs, artists, writers, producers, remixes, and collaborations with strong commercial or licensing potential.
• Think beyond traditional releases and identify creative ways to expand an artist's audience.
• Bring new opportunities and ideas to the label.
• Help determine which songs are best suited for specific markets, audiences, and media opportunities.
WHO WE WANT
This position is ideal for someone who has real industry relationships and enjoys creating opportunities.
You may currently work in:
• A&R

Or you may simply be someone with a strong, established network and a proven ability to make things happen.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
• Existing relationships with radio programmers, DJs, music supervisors, sync companies, production companies, agencies, or other music-industry decision-makers.
• A strong understanding of contemporary music and where different types of music can work.
• Excellent pitching and communication skills.
• The ability to recognize a song's potential beyond simply listening to it.
• Strong follow-through and organization.
• An entrepreneurial approach to building relationships and creating opportunities.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the label.
COMPENSATION
• This is designed as an entrepreneurial, performance-based opportunity.
• Compensation can include commission on successfully developed opportunities, sync/master licensing placements, and other revenue-generating business, with the possibility of project-based or retainer compensation depending on experience and scope.
• We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals who already have an active network and can demonstrate relationships, placements, campaigns, or opportunities they have successfully developed.

per hour
