Busy, Emmy Award-winning, international television studio in Los Angeles is seeking a Coordinator for the Legal and Business Affairs department who will also serve as the Executive Assistant to the EVP of Business Affairs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience at the desk of a busy executive and must be independent, extremely organized and resourceful. Must be able to juggle multiple priorities, self-start and self-manage to meet deadlines in a demanding environment. They will work with lawyers in several international offices and be responsible for filing drafts and documents and obtaining signatures on contracts. They will also maintain the EVP's busy calendar and schedule meetings and conference calls, as well as answer and return phone calls and keep track of current deals and licensing rights. Must be computer savvy, have strong writing and proofreading skills, and the ability to work well with others. This is a fast-paced yet collaborative environment and a fantastic opportunity for someone with a true interest in the business side of the entertainment industry.
Core Responsibilities:
-Maintain executive's calendar
-Schedule, answer and track executive's phone calls
-Obtain signatures for agreements (digitally or physically) and follow up as needed
-File, organize and maintain a high volume of documents and emails
-Occasionally transcribe contracts
-Maintain internal databases for options and licensing rights
-Implement certain provisions of agreements on SalesForce
-Participate in department meetings
-Coordinate travel when needed
-Other administrative duties (i.e. expense reports)
-Strong writing/communication skills
-Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently
-Positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
-BA/BS Degree
-2+ year(s) experience as an assistant and/or legal coordinator required, preferably at an agency, production company, studio, or other industry-specific company
-Strong interest in Business Affairs
-Legal experience and/or international experience a plus, but not required
