This is a Full Time Job
Support Victory News, as directed by the News Director and News Producer, with content, schedules and execution of live productions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather information, research content, proof-read and edit content, as needed and directed by the News Director
Support Producers and Writers with proofreading, fact checking, etc…, as assigned
Work with Guest Producer to secure guests, as needed
Work with News Producer to prepare copy, graphics and other assets necessary
Communicate with studio crew and on-air anchors, as directed by the News Producer
Create Production Schedule for each newscast, as directed by the News Producer
Ensure show lengths are met
Assist with the live broadcast production process, as directed by the News Producer
Communicate pertinent production information to guests, talent, crew and staff
Provide product cost estimates per project, as directed by the News Producer
Coordinate with creative team to develop promos for upcoming specials, as directed by the News Producer
Stay updated with current events and technical standards
Creative involvement in meetings and discussions
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
College degree or work experience equivalent, BS degree in Journalism or Communications, helpful.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:
2-3 years of experience in live television production environment, such as news, with an in-depth understanding of the production process.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Computers, recorders, card readers, online media players, monitors, fax/scanner machines and other office equipment
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Manual dexterity to operate equipment
Requires normal range of hearing and vision
Must be able to work in studio setting and remote production locations
Must be able to travel, as needed
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be task and goal oriented
Must be organized with attention to detail
Must have good attitude and be professional
Able to adapt well to changing work situations
Able to multi-task
Ability to grasp and apply new ideas
Ability to relate and interact with people at all levels
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a normal office or studio environment, sometimes a remote production location
Other:
Born again believer and must adhere to this organization's doctrines as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions
Must maintain a good attendance record
Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred
Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
Ability to work with people of all cultures
