Job Overview
The Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible for collecting and reporting multi-platform viewership data to help track organizational KPIs. This includes compiling, organizing, and analyzing various data sets to measure audience reach and campaign success. This role will also support the maintenance and reporting of tools and resources, including annual insights and data dashboards.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
60% Reporting
• Complete monthly multi-platform KPIs, campaign wrap, programming deep dives, and ad hoc reporting requests
• Responsible for downloading, formatting, and organizing raw data metrics for audience reporting, across platforms, including broadcast, digital, email and social data sources
• Utilize various third-party tools to query data (Nielsen Arianna & NLTV, Myers ProTrack, Google Analytics, Domo, Sprout Social, etc.)
• Monitor, maintain, and report on multi-platform KPIs using established Tableau dashboards
• Coordinate with internal and external data teams/agencies to ensure changes in reporting platforms are accurate
• Provide admin support, including QC & troubleshooting discrepancies, for Tableau dashboards & data warehouse
25% Analysis
• Interpret and present data into a visual and comprehensive narrative
• Analyze data trends and audience tracking
• Coordinate data request with colleagues’ cross-functionally
15% Administrative
• Create and maintain an archival process for all data and past analysis
• Participation in department and project meetings
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (an emphasis in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field is preferred)
• 2-3 years of working with complex data sets, analytics, or related experience
• Experience working with large data sets (broadcast, digital, marketing, or social media data)
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Experience with Nielsen products
• Experience with visualization software (Google Data Studio, Tableau, Microsoft B)
• Proven understanding of the media landscape (Broadcast TV, OTT, mobile viewing, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (advanced level in Excel and experience with CSV files)
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines at once and effectively prioritize work
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for accuracy
• History of communicate effectively and efficiently with internal clients

While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand and walk.
Work Environment
The working conditions are primarily a telecommuting setting. However, the position will require some mandatory and optional off-site travel to Burbank, CA, Costa Mesa, CA, vendors and/or other locations as needed.
