Boutique Los Angeles-based Entertainment PR Agency is seeking a motivated, experienced self-starter with at least 2 years in-house agency experience in Public Relations to join our small yet hardworking team as our Jr. Publicist.
This is currently a remote, work at home position due to COVID-19 restrictions. Successful candidate must have their own work/office space with laptop/printer and high-speed internet. The successful candidate may transition to an in-office position once restrictions are lifted.
JOB DUTIES
- Drafting and updating bios, press releases and pitches
-Extensive pitching of agency clients for print, online, and TV press opportunities
- Covering events: red carpets, fittings, interviews, photo shoots, gifting suites, etc.
-Creating call sheets and itineraries for clients
-Editing and sending in written press interviews for clients
-Assist with maintaining office calendar
- Researching press outlets and events
- Finding contacts for media outlets and events
-Maintaining agency materials: spreadsheets, contact lists, etc.
- Social Media: Updating our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin pages
- Updating and compiling press clippings/Press Kits
-Provide supervision of office assistants via extensive daily phone and email communication
-Communicate daily via extensive phone and email contact with agency CEO and Vice President
- Other office duties as assigned
Candidate should be thick-skinned with an outgoing personality, fun attitude and great work ethic. Our agency works with entertainment/talent. Minimum of 2 years experience in PR required, preference given to those with Entertainment/Talent and supervisory experience.
MUST have working laptop and cell phone. Mac preferred.
MUST be available to work full-time from 9:00 am-6:00 pm PST as well as nights and weekends for event coverage as needed. Must also be willing to work outside office hours to complete assigned tasks, as necessary.
MUST have good communication, writing, phone, and computer skills! Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin) required.
MUST have example phone email etiquette for communication with clients and business associates
MUST have exemplary writing and copy editing skills
MUST be highly-organized with ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
MUST be able to work independently both in and outside of the office environment.
