Management and Development Intern

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Kaplan/Perrone is looking for an eager, motivated, and diligent intern to assist a very strong boutique management company. As a boutique company, this will be a very hands-on internship with the opportunity to acquire experience neccessary for an entry-level job in the industry. You will work closely with the managers and their clients. Position is 75% reading/ script coverage and 25% administrative.

Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment was founded in 2000. The company manages writers and directors in television and film, with a primary focus on up and coming feature film writers. Some of their clients include Scott Neustadter & Michael Weber (500 Days of Summer), Stiles White & Juliet Snowden (Knowing, The Birds), Jeff & Craig Cox (Blades of Glory) Matt Johnson (Torque, Into The Blue), Drew McWeeny & Scott Swan (Masters of Horror: Cigarette Burns, Race With the Devil), Michael LeSieur (You, Me, and Dupree, The Lonely Maiden), Sharon Lee Watson (Crossing Jordan, The Unit), director Larry Guterman (Cats & Dogs, Ants), Dan O’Keefe (Drew Carrey Show, Seinfeld), writer-director John Landis (Animal House, Blues Brothers, Trading Places, Coming to America), Ryne Pearson (Godspeed, Rules of Silence), writer-directors Tony Abrams & Adam Broder (Pumpkin) and Michelle Morgan (Middle of NoWhere).

As producers, YOU, ME, AND DUPREE marked their first feature to go into production. The film, which stars Owen Wilson, Kate Hudson, Matt Dillon, Michael Douglas, and Seth Rogan, was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and had a July 14, 2006 release. They executive produced the recently released MADE OF HONOR for Sony Pictures with Patrick Dempsey starring as well as the thriller, KNOWING which Alex Proyas (I, ROBOT) directed for Sony Pictures. They are currently producing I WANT TO ____ YOUR SISTER for Paramount/MTV Films, DEAD ASLEEP for New Line, THE LION OF TUSCANY for Fox 2000 with Gabriele Muccino (THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS) attached to direct, NEAR DEATH for Fox Searchlight, PET and EASY MONEY (Re-make) for MGM, ADOPTED at Working Title, POWER TRIP at DreamWorks, and HOUSEBROKEN with Walden Media.
