Job Title: Trainee – Baseball Operations
Job Summary: Baseball Operations is responsible for managing a baseball team. The group evaluates baseball players at all levels and provides resources to improve performance. Within Baseball Operations, there are several Departments where our Trainee will provide support.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of the upcoming Draft
• Assist in supporting all areas of the Baseball Operations including Player Development, Scouting and Major League Operations
• Develop an understanding of Baseball Operations and build relationships in the industry
• Identify areas of improvement and conduct research
• Present findings to a wide audience and propose actionable next steps
• Analyze objective and subjective streams of information to facilitate player development and acquisition
• Develop tools and reports that inform decisions
• Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's Degree completed or in progress, preferred
• Desire to learn, acquire new skills, and be exposed to a Baseball Operations Department
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively, written and oral
• Resourceful and innovative thinker
• Comfortable making decisions and taking initiative
• Able to work effectively alone or in teams of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, promoting a culture of inclusion
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
• Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
