Producer, The Family Handyman, Streaming TV

About the role: 

The Producer, Family Handyman, Streaming TV will support Jukin Media's Streaming TV team's Executive Producer, Supervising Producer and Sr. Director of Current Programming & Development to produce longform programming for Jukin's quickly growing FAST channel/OTT/CTV business. This role will oversee the creation and production of Streaming TV programming, 3rd party formats. The candidate has a solid skillset in storytelling, communicating and production for TV audiences as well as Digital audiences. Great opportunity to be part of an award-winning team. 

This position will report to the Executive Producer, Streaming TV.   This position is based in our Los Angeles Office.

About you: 

You are passionate about UGC content and half hour television series. You enjoy producing unscripted television from all POVs including VO narration, stage direction, and the incorporation of UGC content into the narrative, especially in the DIY / Home lifestyle genre. You are able to produce for a broad scope of genres including comedy, lifestyle and athletic/sports and weather and adventure. Above all, you are excited by challenges, with a strong desire to learn and adapt with the company, and grow with our team.

Responsibilities 

Produce curated and original series for Streaming TV in the DIY and home genre first, and other genres second 
Work closely with Executive Producer, Supervising Producer and Sr. Director of Current Programming & Development to maintain and influence creative alignment with the Channel and Brands 
Contribute to the ideation of new show concepts in the DIY space 
Collaborate on creative direction through post production, giving notes on outlines, scripts and cuts 
Oversee re-format and/or creation of 3rd party content - liaise with content partners 
Manage any / all cast & crew associated with projects
Identify appropriate resources needed for each individual project, coordinate efforts with Executive Producer, Supervising Producer and Sr. Director, Current Programming & Development / production team and ensure timely completion of greenlit series
Write episode descriptions for the assets 
Collaborate with GFX team on all graphic packages and animated assets 
Log, track and update OTT inventory 
Basic editing skills when needed 
Field directing when needed 

Requirements

BA/BS degree required
4+ Years Production Experience (digital & linear) in the DIY / Home genre 
Strong script writing skills for both long & short form content 
Experience with sizzle / promo development and execution 
Ability to maintain and grow talent relationships with brand 
Proficient in Adobe Premiere / Ability to edit as needed 
Minimum 2+ years of experience in TV/entertainment media services.
Deep understanding of and passion for the entertainment and digital media landscape.
