New York-based casting office specializing in reality television is seeking a Casting Associate. The Casting Associate will assume a primary role in the casting process for multiple shows, and the position will last for 4-6 weeks starting asap. The candidate should have at least 2 years experience in reality casting. Experience is especially important in the following areas:

Interviewing potential cast (Ability to use camera, lights and audio)
Ability to outreach to find potential cast

Responsibilities may include:
• Creatively source qualified candidates for the diverse shows we are working on (this includes cold calling, as well as internet searches and networking)
• Conduct extensive outreach to target the best candidates
• Assist with finding timely and cost efficient advertising opportunities to notify potential candidates of upcoming casting events
• Act as an internal expert further leveraging technology to create efficiencies in our casting process
• Use discretion to screen applications and conduct first round phone or Skype interviews
• Provide casting director and producers with insightful recommendations regarding potential cast
• Write one sheets for potential cast
• Collaborate with casting director and producers in all aspects of the casting process
• Any other duties to support office organization and the overall casting process

Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of casting experience
• Bachelors degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong writing skills
• Detail oriented and well organized with the ability to think and communicate strategically
• Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, deadline-driven entertainment company environment
• A smart ''go getter'' who embraces continuous change
• Must be proficient using Mac computers
• Must be comfortable with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter etc.)
• Interviewing
• Video, photo, digital equipment skills, building websites, proficiency in adobe acrobat, Final Cut a bonus
