This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Joshua Jason Public Relations/JJPR is seeking an intern to directly support the Publicists and Event Management team. We are looking for a self-driven and motivated individual who can multitask and who is excited to gain first-hand experience in the film and entertainment industry. This person will be responsible for monitoring and pulling press clippings, helping with publicity campaigns and awards strategy, assisting with the coordination of virtual and hybrid events, maintaining press contact information and lists, and any other day to day administrative tasks as needed.
Candidates must be familiar with the entertainment industry, upcoming releases, have interest in media and be willing to work in Los Angeles or New York for the duration of the internship. This is an excellent opportunity to get exceptional training, gain new skills and grow within a Public Relations Firm. Many of our interns have gone on to garner entry-level positions in the entertainment industry.
JJPR specializes in entertainment campaigns, awards strategy, and event management. With long standing relationships in the industry, JJPR has strategized and executed several OscarĀ® campaigns for entertainment companies such as Warner Bros, Searchlight, Focus Features, Apple TV, A24, Magnolia Pictures, Outsider Pictures, Film Movement, GKIDS, and Shout Factory.

End Date: December 17, 2021
Responsibilities / Duties:
Provide general administrative and PR support to agency partners and other team members in the areas of PR, marketing, and event management.
Build out press lists around various projects and initiatives.
Track and compile press coverage for clients.
Update and maintain internal press documents and reports.
Attend and coordinate film screenings, promotional events and premiers.
Track DCP traffic for all agency screenings.
Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as phones, scanning press breaks, organizing papers and magazines, sending out packages to clients.
Always ready to provide team support.
Positively represent the agency at all times.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college.
Must be able to receive class credit for the internship.
Availability 2-3 days a week 9AM-6PM, flexibility to assist at weekend screenings or night events.
Strong MS Office skills required. Adobe Suite experience is a plus.
Strong work ethic, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, changing work environment, flexibility, and excellent writing and organizational skills are necessary to succeed in this position.
Must have exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and a social personality by nature.
