Legend3D, Inc., is a leading digital media technology company that specializes in using its proprietary image processing technology and artistry to create greater value from entertainment assets for its clients. Legend3D's technology enables the conversion of motion pictures, television shows, advertisements and other visual entertainment assets produced in 2D into 3D with a result that rivals, and in some cases exceeds, the quality of native 3D content. The market for 3D conversion and content has recently experienced rapid growth and Legend3D has become the largest and most experienced provider in the nascent 2D-to-3D conversion industry.
The Managing Producers' primary responsibility will be to manage the allocation of Legend3D's production resources while simultaneously functioning as a Producer on assigned projects.
This position collaborates with the production team and department heads to maximize productivity across the studio by ensuring that the proper resources are in place to meet production schedules. The Managing Producer is responsible for providing consistent and accurate show productivity and capacity reports to senior management.
The Managing Producer also works strategically with the others to improve processes and communication across departments.
Managing Producer Tasks:
- Partners with the Producers, Stereo VFX supervisors, and other Department Heads in pre-production planning to lay out an efficient resource roadmap for every project - from start thru delivery.
- Anticipates and resolves production resource conflicts, proactively solving bottleneck problems.
- Manages the Forecasting, Productivity and Capacity reports.
- Directly manages Production support staff, mentors their career paths and is responsible for assigning Production Supervisors, Production Coordinators and Production Assistants to projects.
- Works with the producing team and COO to allocate resources efficiently both internally and with overseas vendors, and develops capacity planning and support structures.
- Partners with Senior Management and Sales to support new business opportunities and sales initiatives.
- Produces assigned projects and supports producers by starting, filling in and handing off projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years production experience as a Producer
- Production department management experience
- Thorough understanding of VFX and animation production pipelines, software packages and post-production workflows
- Outstanding people and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Collaborator and team player
- Strong management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills - asset and production tracking software plus MS Office, Excel and Filemaker Pro
- Experience in 2D/3D conversion a plus.
