This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Gurney Productions is currently seeking hard-working, motivated interns for Summer 2012. We are a Los-Angeles based television production company that supplies reality and factual based programming to networks such as A&E, Discovery, Spike, Syfy and Animal Planet. Students must be able to multi-task for their crash-course television production internship. Lots of room for growth in many parts of production/post for the right candidate.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students will learn about the television production process from pre-production to post. This includes but is not limited to -
• Research and development process in pre-production
• The TV executive hierarchy and how production companies interact with network executives
• Quick troubleshooting in the office during production process
• Explore the world of post-production from story producers to editors
TASKS:
• Provide research for producers (Includes specialty props/key show items, locations, episode subjects/topics, etc.)
• Write cut/script coverage, outlines on pitches, and/or transcriptions
• Organize contacts/locations on production reports for production coordinators or managers
• On occasion, interns will be brought on-set to observe production process
