Intern - Marketing/Social Media

Shorts Entertainment Network is the leading network in exposing short films from around the world on their ShortsHD channel. Showcasing the best short films from around the world.

Shorts Entertainment is seeking an Intern to work closely with our Marketing Director 2-3 days a week during the Summer. This position presents a learning opportunity for a college student to engage in hands-on experience primarily focused in Social Media Marketing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Weekly research of fan sites, film festival sites including blogs, Twitter, etc.
-Assist in building awareness for upcoming Shorts Premiers on the channel and monthly channel programing through social media platforms.
• Maintain a strong online and social media presence for ShortsHD
• Perform continuous enhancements, modifications, and updates to social media pages
• Respond promptly to fan comments
• Update social media pages regularly by collecting and editing content such as photos and videos

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Keen interest in digital marketing.

Have some kind of Marketing background

Candidates should be very comfortable with and know their way around web platforms like, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Vimeo and Wordpress.

Knowledge and hands on experience managing and downloading from FTP sites.

Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills - both verbal and written.

Strong attention to detail is required.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to balance, multi-task and prioritize requests and still meet deadlines.

Must be able and willing to take initiative and to problem solve as appropriate within the scope of responsibilities of this position.

Must be proficient in photoshop, illustrator,Microsoft office, specifically Power point.

Must be web savvy, have some knowledge of web design.
