Intern - New Media Design

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Telepictures Productions Inc. is seeking a New Media Design Intern to work with the Digital Media department for the Summer of 2012. This position provides a unique opportunity for a college student to assist the New Media web designers with the day-to-day operations, which includes creating and implementing new online initiatives, designing new pages within the current sites and providing general support to the New Media design team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist web designers with updating and designing for various websites daily.

Help develop, design and build new website initiatives.

Watch and track digital news and development to keep department abreast of what's resonating with audiences.

Learn from and assist programming team with day-to-day updates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

College or trade school student working on BS/BA degree in Design, New Media or related field.

No previous work experience required, however the ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn new programs and gain an understanding of the business of syndicated programming. Applicants must be highly familiar with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and HTML. Experience working with various content management systems and knowledge of Final Cut Pro a plus.

Proficiency with MS Word and MAC is required.

Proficiency with Photoshop and basic HTML.

Proficiency with Outlook E-mail and use of the Internet are required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Must have ability to communicate effectively & tactfully with managers & other levels of personnel.

Must have ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written & oral instructions.

Must have ability to organize & schedule work effectively.

Must have ability to work well under time constraints.

Must be able to handle multiple tasks.

Must possess a professional mannerism.
