Deluxe Digital Studios, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead QA Engineer for Burbank, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Qualified candidate will lead a team of QA Engineers who are developing, creating, customizing, and modifying software test plans for ensuring the quality of Digital Asset Management System DB and related and tool related software.
- Will develop software testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
- Will develop, create and modify software applications.
- Will develop software testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
- Will write and execute test plans and test cases, maintaining bug databases and verifying fixes. Will work with R&D to address unknown/new compatibility problems, new and undocumented tools and formats. Will evaluate project under testing for interdependencies and conflicts.
- Will assist to isolate, recreate, and report bugs, verify fixes, maintain the bug tracking systems, verify source code control of releases and develop feature areas in collaboration with software engineers.
- Will mentor the QA team on QA processes, regarding best practices and technical expertise.
- Will participate in software code reviews.
- Will provide recommendations for new tools and innovations which are designed to increase the performance and efficiency.
- Will use checklists to verify compliance of product to client specifications and Bill of Materials.
- Will act as Release engineer for the R&D department.
- Will assign work to team members who are testing core Digital Asset Management System and Digital Asset Management System related tool set functions.
- Will set schedules of team members who are performing software quality assurance, testing, and release management of online, enterprise-level server-side software applications and services, including isolating, recreating, reporting bugs, verifying fixes, and maintaining the bug tracking system.
- Will report to management about performance of team members who are performing software QA testing and release management of Windows based software applications for automating and enhancing the development and deployment of BD digital distribution software applications.
- Will review work of team members who are writing software documentation, crafting software test plans, and executing these plans.
- Will supervise team members who are testing software from the applications development team, R&D team and Digital Asset Management tool team..
- Will direct team members who are using their knowledge of scripting Parallel scalar, Capture tools, Clear case, and understanding of web, audio, video, interactive multimedia, mobile devices, networking and consumer electronic devices to perform their duties.
- Will supervise team members who are performing end to end testing Digital Asset Management System related applications and tools.
- Will lead team members who are using Quick Test Professional to automate application testing of new products and features within 3 days or less.
- Will work with R&D to address unknown/new compatibility problems, new and undocumented tools and formats.
- Will evaluate project under testing for interdependencies and conflicts.

- Will mentor the QA team on QA processes, regarding best practices and technical expertise. Will manage resource allocations for QA team and ensure on time delivery of projects.
- Will participate in code reviews. Will provide recommendations for new tools and innovations which are designed to increase the performance and efficiency of the Quality Assurance department.
- Will use checklists to verify compliance of product to client specifications and Bill of Materials.
- Will write and execute test plans and test cases, maintaining bug databases and verifying fixes.
Qualifications:
Must have a MS in Engineering Telecommunications, CS, Technology Systems, Data Communications or equivalent in related field and 1 year direct experience or 2 year’s related experience doing the duties of the team members will in the future be leading, assign work to, setting schedules of, reporting to management about, reviewing work of, supervising and directing. $90,314.00 per year, 40 hours/week. O.T. n/a, M-F 9:00am-5:00pm. Applicants must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
