Data Operator

This is a Full Time Job

We currently have an opening for a Data Operator. This position will be located in Hollywood, CA.

Description of Duties:

The Operator will be responsible for loading and archiving files from data tape, firewires, CD-Rom, and DVDs, as well as moving, copying, and deleting project files, converting image files between formats and helping to create and maintain directory structures for multiple projects.

The operator will also help monitor and maintain usable storage disk space and be responsible for UNIX scripting and the execution of UNIX commands.

Technical Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of PC, MAC and Linux operating systems

- An understanding of standard Unix naming conventions, GUI software, and various image file formats

- Basic understanding of Unix shell or DOS shell navigation

- Working knowledge of a multiple server network

- Knowledge of QuickTime workflows

Personal Qualifications:

- Must be able to multi task

- Possess a profound attention to detail

- Ability to work a flexible work schedule

- Available to work Thursday – Monday from 5PM-2AM, with flexibility on hours on Saturday and Sunday
