Title: Manager, Broadcast Operations

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Global Digital Media Xchange Inc. seeks a Manager, Broadcast Operations for the Broadcast department. Position will manage all operations related to the origination and uplink of the Warner Channel, The CW Plus Station Group, Warner Bros. Domestic Syndication, Warner Bros First Run Syndication, Warner Bros. International TV as well as external clients including creation and duplication of master programming, commercial and promotional elements, traffic logs, graphic elements, closed captioning and subtitling.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Position manages all aspects and activities of the Broadcast Operations staff.
• Manage the operational relationship between all Broadcast Clients and Origination/Uplink facility.
• Supervise the receipt, creation and duplication (including closed captioning and subtitle creation and insertion) of master program, commercial (via Telestream) and promotional elements.
• Supervise the daily traffic related to the Broadcast of the Warner Channel including translation of final Broadcast Schedule to Final On-Air Broadcast Log.
• Oversees monitoring and maintaining acceptable video and audio technical specifications while following on-air playback schedule, verifying complete and accurate automation data in broadcast computer systems/programs and performing technical QC of
commercial, promo, and program elements.
• Oversee troubleshooting of broadcast technical issues related to ingest, playback, uplink and downlink and communicate across
departmental lines with maintenance personnel to resolve those problems.
• Maintain, review and validate Broadcast discrepancy reports.
• Conduct monthly Operations meetings between Warner Channel and Origination/Uplink facility.
• Set work schedules and work standards as well as helping to create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Special projects and duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS Degree required.
• 5 years of previous experience in Network Broadcast Operations.
• 5 years of previous experience in Network Traffic Operations.
• 3 years of Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Network broadcast and traffic systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of satellite uplink and transmission procedures.
• Knowledge of invoicing procedures including work order creation through completion.
• Knowledge of standard definition, high definition, file and tape formats.
• Knowledge of commercial delivery formats and platforms.
• Must possess good problem solving skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess supervisory skills.
• Must be able to establish good working relationships.
• Must be proficient in Word and Excel and have strong background in computers.
