This is a Full Time Job

We are currently looking to fill editor positions for an upcoming documentary.

THE PROJECT:

8-part documentary series that will draw back the curtain and shine a light upon the fascinating, pressure-filled world of game development – presenting an intimate look into the lives of the young, groundbreaking men and women who are its unheralded creators.

We are looking for Senior Editors that possess the following:

• Know Final Cut backwards and forwards
• Have excellent understanding of story structure and characters
• Have relentless creativity
• Have confidence with editing picture effects.
• Experience selecting music that drives a scene; sound effects
• Have the ability to build tension and comedic moments
• Have strong initiative
• Have outstanding communication skills and a great attitude
• Have excellent project management skills
• Have consistent follow-through in every project they work on.
• Have the ability to work independently
• Show enthusiasm towards each project
• Knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and illustrator is a plus

The project will be edited in a very stylized way so we're looking for people with the ability to tell in-depth, multilevel stories while also being able to make the story look slick and cool. We do not want this to be a copycat show.

KEY SKILLS

• Your technical skills and knowledge of video and editing should be second to none and your software skills should be broad and extensive including offline and online editing, grading and motion graphics.

• You should have at least 6 years of commercial experience in video editing and you should at least be an expert-level user of Final Cut.

• We are looking for outstanding execution, fastidious attention to detail and a genuine “geeky” love of post-production.

• Ideally long and short format experience.
