About the Opportunity:
Come grow with The L.A. Office as we continue to build The Lounge, home to the brand and entertainment marketing communities. The Manager or Marketing & Business Development will be responsible for the marketing strategy and execution for activities related to The Lounge, The L.A. Office Membership Program, The RoadShow Webinar Series and our Industry Insights events. The successful candidate will synergize all of our assets and messaging to strengthen our business development, marketing and promotional efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage creation, content and execution of all marketing messages (print, email, online, etc.)
• Create a marketing calendar that supports our events and services
• Coordinate efforts to synergize all of our marketing messages
• Oversee creative messaging and execution across all marketing touch-points (website, e-newsletters, etc.)
• Ensure timely dissemination of all marketing communications
• Growing and managing our email marketing lists and database
• Determine and direct our B2B social networking activities as they relate to company priorities
• Build and manage relationships between The L.A. Office and our marketing and online suppliers/consultants (Lounge back-end, creative designers, etc.)
• Utilize The Lounge to drive business objectives
• Oversee creation of event collateral
• Work with the team to develop Membership messaging at our events
Business Development
• Develop and implement multi-level image-building public relations/promotional strategy
• Devise programs to retain members and grow of our core businesses: Membership Program, The Lounge and the RoadShow Webinar series
• Research and develop strategic partnerships that will help us strengthen our position with our core customers and expand our audience
Required skills and experience:
• Excellent communication and creative writing skills
• Excellent time management skills, self-motivated, energetic and positive personality
• Team player, forward thinker, computer savvy, detail oriented, enthusiastic
• Ability to set, manage and achieve goals in a fast-paced, high growth environment
• Strong integrated marketing background with a solid understanding of the entertainment marketing industry
• Excellent writing/editing skills along with strong all around communication and project management skills
• PC skills should include: MS Office suite (Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel). Familiar with Dreamweaver and Photoshop is a big plus
• The ability to ''go with the flow'' is a must, while having the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Marketing experience with all forms of advertising media: radio, print, TV and outdoor.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in related field.
• 4+ years experience in managing multi-level marketing projects within agency and web-based businesses
