Intern - Online Editorial/Production

The Ski Channel is seeking talented and enthusiastic interns to join the team.

Description:

The online editorial department has openings for several interns interested in writing and creating content for The Ski Channel. You will be focused on promoting the company’s online presence, which includes skichannel's website and various social platforms.

We are seeking web-savvy, action sports enthusiasts interested in pursuing a career in online media/journalism/sports entertainment.

You will gain direct experience writing daily news stories, posting videos, supporting interviews, providing event coverage, and have your finger on the pulse of mountain-oriented happenings around the world.

Responsibilities:

Create online content to be distributed via theskichannel com and its social networks. You will write stories pertaining to ski industry news utilizing a variety of sources, press releases, videos and photography.

Support Editor-in-chief on projects in various capacities, including:
• Research
• Transcribing
• General office tasks

You will also be given the opportunity to pitch and pursue story topics of your choosing with the goal of establishing a voice for yourself within the action sports industry.

Qualifications:

Strong writing talents and verbal reasoning ability
A positive attitude
Meticulous organization
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of / passion for the action sports industry

Computer-savvy
• Mac or PC
• Basic Photoshop ability a huge plus!
• Final Cut Pro ability a huge plus!
