This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
The Hollywood Reporter is the definitive interpretive voice of the entertainment industry. Informing, engaging and empowering content is delivered across a multimedia platform that includes: weekly magazine, special reports, breaking news Website and mobile site, daily news PDF, iPad app and high profile industry events.
We are seeking enthusiastic sales/marketing interns to assist the Consumer Sales, Marketing and Creative Services teams in our New York City office for the Spring 2012 semester.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist with research and copy for marketing & sales collateral
• Copy-editing and proof reading marketing proposals
• Assist with sales call preparation including: compiling media kits, preparing editorial credit reports (print & digital), printing and binding presentation decks, etc.
• Researching industry contacts and updating databases
• Filing and updating of back-issue library
• Coordinating mass-mailings of weekly issues to advertisers
• Provide general administrative assistance to our rockstar team in a fast-paced work environment
The ideal candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, social media. Applicants should have a general interest in the entertainment industry and be hardworking, detail oriented, organized, and ready to bring new ideas to the internship. Candidates whose studies focus on advertising, communications, media relations, marketing, and related subjects are preferred.
Position to begin ASAP after the New Year.
Schedule is flexible but applicants must be able to commit to a regular weekly schedule of at least 20 hours for the duration of the semester (16 weeks).
