This is a Full Time Job

Responsibilities:

• Write and/or assign the first stories of the day on a major entertainment news site
• Write high-quality, professional and entertaining celebrity-related articles
• Copyedit written material as necessary
• Work with other writers in the group to help set the agenda for the first round of the day’s news
• Select photos and write captions for high-profile galleries
• Meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment, including during early-morning hours

Skills and experience required:

• Strong knowledge of the celebrity and pop culture space
• 3+ years similar experience in news, celebrity or pop culture media
• Experience using custom CMS or similar publishing tools a plus
• Strong editorial voice and writing style a plus
