Job Description: H&M Communications is a full-service boutique and consumer-marketing consultancy with offices located in Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, New York and Houston. H&M is dedicated to multi-cultural marketing with special focus on the U.S. Hispanic market and has become one of the top Hispanic agencies trusted by more brands, film studios, television networks, content producers and distributors over the past seven years than any other Hispanic agency. H&M's expertise spans media and community relations, publicity, events, grassroots/experiential marketing, online/social media, sponsorship development and activation, and crisis communications. H&M is seeking an Account Coordinator for our MIAMI office.
Summary: The Account Coordinator will work with the account team to execute day-to-day project tasks.
Responsibilities:
. Support Consumer team
. Create and update Excel charts, PowerPoint presentations, Word docs and manage formulas for client reports
. Draft emails to clients
. Draft social media posts on behalf of clients' needs
. Maintain master calendar of consumer client activities
. Maintain calendar/scheduled meetings/travel for team
. Manage quarterly reports for multiple clients
. Manage press release reports
. Clipping
. Research clients daily to stay abreast on relevant general market and Hispanic market news
. Translation of materials
. Draft press releases and media alerts
. Pitch stories to media and maintain press relationships
. Maintain and develop media lists for multiple clients
. Proofread client memos and reports
. Analyze reports; Find/calculate ad rates
. Keep up-to-date with client/market trends
. Provide administrative support to account teams including handling purchase orders, travel and expense reports, etc
Other responsibilities:
. Participate in agency brainstorms
. Participate in new business initiatives and presentations
Qualifications:
. BA or BS required; degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or closely related field preferred
. Related internships a plus
. 1-3 years related Consumer/Entertainment experience required
. Must have a passion for and understanding of the digital sphere including social media and digital innovation
. Ability to multi-task with great attention to detail
. The ability to work well in a team environment
. Strong written and oral communications skills
. Working knowledge of Cision database
. Social Media savvy; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn
. Fluency in Spanish is required; additional fluency in Portuguese a plus
. Familiarity with Latin America, media outlets in the region, and how to find outlet data
Fluency in Spanish is required, as well as 1-3 years of public relations agency experience.
