Intern - Production

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Manhattan’s most prestigious private acting studio is seeking an articulate, energetic and quick-witted Production Intern to work in our office two to three days a week. The candidate must be a college student completing an internship for course credit.

Arts Administration, Production, and Communications majors are all welcome, as well as anyone interested in learning the ins and outs of running an acting studio. Applicants should have administrative and/or production experience, preferably in an academic or arts-related environment. Strong phone and interpersonal skills are a must. This position starts as soon as possible.

Duties include:

• Assisting in the marketing, promotion, and distribution of instructional DVDs currently in post-production.
• Scheduling, organizing, and executing courses and events at the studio.
• Assisting in the planning and execution of classes and workshops, including compiling information about the class and teachers, assisting the sales staff in publicizing the courses, etc.
• Brainstorming to create new outreach programs to increase awareness about the organization.
• Maintaining contact with Studio vendors/clients/teachers and others and updating contact lists accordingly.
• Creating and distributing promotional materials for upcoming classes and events.
• Advertising the Studio in trade outlets and on college campuses around the country and abroad.
