Sony Music is seeking an International Marketing Analyst to join our US International Marketing team reporting SVP of Streaming/Digital Strategy providing analytics & project support with the below focus:
The role
• Using consumption data from multiple partners & platforms to deliver data-driven strategic recommendations for artist & channel growth.
• Using consumption and social data to find artists and songs that show early potential and building KPI's around that.
• Play an active role in creating frameworks for marketing campaign analysis & advertising benchmarking
• Compile updates & insights on track/album performance
• In-depth album and digital campaign reporting for AAA campaigns from a global perspective – working with domestic analysts to integrate this information in label meetings and communications
• Establish metrics for quantifying impact on artist campaigns
• Automate daily reports that will help feed the team with actionable insights
• Assist in creating compelling analytics projects and presentations providing actionable insights paired with recommendations
• Collaborate on executing and implementing data driven insights to optimize (digital) strategy
• Investigating (new) digital and social media trends that can help with optimizing our strategy
• Assist with admin of central marketing campaigns
About you
• Experience with Tableau (required) and Alteryx (preferred)
• Technical skills in data management (preferred) - SQL, python, R
• Knowledge of working with webAPI's (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience in analytics, BI, data insights, marketing, and strategy, preferably within the music and/or distribution industry
• Ability to communicate and share information effectively with team members, executives, and fellow analytics/BI members in the company
• Interest in experimenting with 3rd party data sources to enrich behavioral data
• Self-starter and strategic project management master with tenacity to experiment in order to create opportunities and solve problems
• Interest in the music industry and the numbers behind music consumption
• Knowledge of and passion for music, and the ability to identify trends and an awareness of what's popular today and its place in pop culture
• Clear and consistent communicator with strong Excel, Keynote & PowerPoint skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with ex-US markets (preferred)
• Experience working with (digital) marketing & social teams (preferred)

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $58,500 to $65,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
