The Live Event Production team is looking for an experienced AV Manager to help lead State Farm Arena and the Atlanta Hawks into the future. The new arena technology permeates every space in the new building and we are looking for a sophisticated engineer/artist to ensure that all of our events, inside and outside the arena, are executed as a world class experience. This individual will act as the primary manager of the arena sound and lighting systems for all State Farm events and concerts, including Hawks home games. The A/V Manager will also work with the larger Event Production Team to service audio/video needs for external events and internal presentations. State Farm Arena and the Atlanta Hawks are looking for a team player who's driven by technology and thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment that is constantly changing.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Acts as primary audio engineer for all Atlanta Hawks games.
• Provides exceptional audio experience at all Atlanta Hawks games, State Farm Arena events, press conferences and internal meetings.
• Provides additional audio/video production support for all organizational events, including, but not limited to Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Talon, State Farm Arena, and other key organizational projects and initiatives both within State Farm Arena and externally.
• Forecasts new technology and production techniques that will keep State Farm arena on the cutting edge.
• Exhibits superior client services skills and the ability to function well within a team environment.
• Acts as an integral supportive role in the development of the Live Production team.
• Focuses on supporting the growth of quality, depth and capabilities of our production team, enhancing our technical capabilities and driving innovation.
• Lead part time A/V staff on event days.
• Understands the level of quality that is required at State Farm Arena and is not afraid to stand up to keep that standard high.
Additional Information
• Advanced college coursework, degree, or comparable experience in Audio production preferred.
• 5-6 years of professional experience in live audio production
• Vast knowledge of audio mixing (exceptional ear for audio quality and acoustic is critical to this job).
• Extensive knowledge of current trends and technology in live audio production (preferred experience in Dante, Riedel Comm, Evertz Magnum)
• Production etiquette and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Effectively able to work under pressure of deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to work long hours as needed and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and late nights, as needed, to support the needs of a major professional sports organization.
• Knowledge of events sports in general is required.
• Must have an enthusiastic attitude, work independently as well as part of a group and assume any tasks to accomplish team goals.
• Must have an attitude of respect and the determination to be the best and encourage others to be the best in professional sports.
