Job Description
Jive is expanding and we are looking for key individuals who want to be a part of this growth. The perfect Jiver is a highly motivated and proactive self-starter with at least 1 year PR/Social Media work experience or a 1 year PR/Social Media related internship. We're looking for an all-star with hustle and heart who wants to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. If you've got what it takes, we want to hear from you!
The role will include working closely with your account leads and other team members, as well as interacting with clients on specific day-to-day deliverables to implement PR, influencer and social media campaigns. More details are as follows:
Main Job Duties
Your role would include, but not be limited to the following:
Monitoring media (newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires and blogs)
Researching, writing and distributing press materials/releases/pitches to targeted media
Promoting news stories and features to the media
Creating and updating media lists
Coordinating and attending events as required, and on-site support
Creating engaging text, image and video content for social media channels
Managing social media channels and community engagement
Creating, coordinating and facilitating influencer drops
Liaising with influencers
Building out social media content calendars
Assisting on content photoshoots
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly updates on social media channels and digital optimization progress
Researching audience preferences and current social media trends
Supporting senior team members

Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
Minimum 1 year PR experience or PR related internship
Ability and interest in building relationships on an internal and external level
Team player, working well under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Excellent publicity skills - oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Strong detail-orientation, organizational, and time management skills
Demonstrates initiative, innovation, integrity, and professionalism
Maintain confidentiality and exercise tact when dealing with sensitive issues
Collaborative team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other team members when necessary
Loves all things pop culture and trending news stories!
