Jill Fritzo Public Relations, a bi-coastal boutique public relations firm representing entertainment talent, is currently seeking a Publicist in Los Angeles.
We are looking for a highly-driven and enthusiastic candidate with exceptional communication and writing skills, who is detail-oriented and resourceful, has the ability to multi-task, and the capacity to think on his/her feet in a fast-paced environment.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling and representing the biggest voices in the marketplace. They also have experience signing clients and building campaign strategies from ideation to execution. Being able to work independently with high productivity while also thriving in a communal work environment is a must.
Some responsibilities include:
• Manage and execute day to day aspects and long-term activities on client accounts. Including in-person coverage as needed.
• Review client itineraries, agendas, recap reports and media clips, and work with support staff to ensure timely delivery of these communications to clients.
• Work directly with clients and senior staff, and lead client communications, as appropriate.
• Work on various (10+) accounts simultaneously and under deadline.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends and have the ability to travel on an as needed basis.
• Mentor and counsel junior colleagues on relationship building and client servicing.
• Possess a high level understanding of our business and drive forward inventive thinking and new approaches to ensure the best business impact.
• Secure new business and build client roster.
• Craft compelling narratives and create effective client positioning.
• Develop tactical media strategies that align with client goals to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality.
• Create project-based media campaigns and implement a wide range of media outreach activities.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of key media targets and maintain strong industry and media relationships across music, fashion, lifestyle, trade, business, podcasts, broadcast, etc. along with influencer community + VIPs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in PR or communications
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience in entertainment/talent publicity
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple clients.
• Ability to make every client feel like they are a priority for the business.
• Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Proven track record of success landing media placements across a variety of mediums (podcasts, long/short lead, features, launch announcements, etc.)
• Strong industry editorial contacts, with a desire to continue building new trustworthy connections
• Ability to develop, execute and communicate strategy to clients
• Proven ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
• Strong knowledge of the entertainment industry and have established media contacts
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Cision and other entertainment research based programs
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary/Benefits
$12,345.00 - 6,789.00 per year
