We are seeking an experienced YouTube Channel Manager to run the day-to-day operations and analytical reporting for Jikoni's Youtube channel. You will be based in our Los Angeles office.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on organization and meticulous attention to detail. This role requires curiosity and significant initiative that's essential to a startup environment.
Jikoni's Channel Manager is expected to become an expert in our managed content and perform competitive analysis to gain an understanding of how we can improve and grow our channels.
Candidates will be expected to perform ongoing YouTube viewership analysis using multiple analytics tools in order to validate existing strategies and provide information to guide programming and investment decisions going forward.
The candidate will manage relationships with our internal content teams. They will understand how the channel fits into the larger Jikoni network and develop effective cross-promotion strategies that ensure mutual benefit to all parties.
Responsibilities
Run the day-to-day operation of Jikoni's YouTube channel
Manage content schedules and track content production to ensure deadlines are met
Liaising with video content team & post production to receive videos for upload
Monitor channel settings optimization, modifying channel bio & tags
Writing all copy for video titles, descriptions, and tags
Video uploading and settings optimization
Create video thumbnails graphics and channel art, keeping in mind YouTube best practices (title, tagging, metadata, etc)
Curation & Optimization of playlists and channel trailers
Comment review/approval and response
Subscriber acquisition efforts
Assist in weekly & monthly insight reporting. Deliver actionable insights and strategies for growth
QC all content and communicate any necessary edits before upload
Keeping up to date with YouTube platform developments, trends and training
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
2+ years YouTube channel management and growth experience
YouTube Certified, with a deep and current knowledge of the YouTube platform
Knowledge of YouTube Content ID a major plus
Experience working with international food content is preferred
Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud such as Lightroom, Photoshop & Premiere
Familiarity with Google Drive
Bachelor's degree preferred
