This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Seeking 4-5 interns to assist the series development team at Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney's production company Jigsaw Productions (Enron, Taxi to the Dark Side, Going Clear, CNN's Death Row Stories), which produces content for networks such as HBO, CNN, Nat Geo, Discovery, Netflix, and Amazon. Looking for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent grads who possess:
1. Excellent research and writing skills are a must. Non-fiction creative writing is a plus.
2. Creativity: ability to find new stories to develop and pitch as tv series.
3. Experience with graphic design.
4. Experience w/ investigative journalism a plus.
Dates: Mid-Aug OR Beginning of Sept, for 3-4 months, 2-3 days/week.
Location: NYC-based
Interns learn how to develop, pitch and sell a tv series and film from the ground up. Daily lunch stipend, college credit (where applicable), weekly educational seminars covering production and development led by Jigsaw staff. Tasks are all analytical and challenging, as well as very writing heavy. We do not use interns for menial tasks in our department.
