This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Looking for eager, committed interns for the Fall to work in development at documentary company Jigsaw Productions (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: Smartest Guys in the Room, Mea Maxima Culpa, We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks)
Position: 2-3 days/week.
Project description: New York City-based Jigsaw Productions is headed by Academy Award-winning director Alex Gibney and produces documentary films and television programs.
This is a rare opportunity to take part in creating full-length documentaries and smart TV for the nation's premiere networks. The internship is perfect for anyone interested in documentaries and production/doc filmmaking.
Positions available:
Development intern: Strong research and writing skills required. An interest in current events, trends, and the television industry is preferred. Laptop required.
About the Program:
• Position is available immediately.
• Length of internship is at least four months, with an opportunity to extend the internship.
• School credit if applicable.
• Daily lunch stipend.
Requirements:
A major or minor in film, television, video, media or journalism is a plus, as is a strong interest in history, sports, politics, business or the arts. Experience using Avid, Final Cut and video cameras is desirable but not essential. Strong research and writing skills are required, as are experience using Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented, good-humored person who wants to be part of creating a documentary film or TV series from the ground up.
